Megumi Maguchi, MD
“I chose geriatrics and primary care because it is very fulfilling to have the privilege to care for our community’s most vulnerable populations – our older and younger adults. Our life span has increased significantly in the last 50 years. Today we see more people over the age of 80 than ever before and we realize that it is critical for younger adults to become more health-conscious. “As a primary care physician, I work closely with patients to help them focus on preventive medicine – nutrition, guided exercise, full wellness exams, health education and maintaining a healthy lifestyle – to prepare for graceful aging and a better quality of life. I also focus on preventing further deterioration of chronic illnesses such as diabetes, high blood pressure, obesity, metabolic syndromes and other common conditions. I wake up every morning eager to see my patients and help them make positive differences in their lives.
“I believe in engaging my patients in their health care, ensuring that they understand treatment, and empowering them with positive choices they can make to improve their health and quality of life. I hope to give my patients peace of mind to know that they have a doctor who really cares for them.”
