Advanced Geriatrics & Primary Care Focused on You

One of the most common complaints we hear from our new patients is that their previous doctor did not spend enough time with them. That is definitely not the case with Dr. Meg Maguchi at Advanced Geriatrics & Primary Care.

Her approach to patient care is quite different. That’s because each individual patient is different even though they may suffer from a common condition such as arthritis (there are actually many different forms of arthritis!). Each patient with the same diagnosis has unique symptoms and each patient should expect customized treatment solutions.

Catering to your unique personality

The illnesses, surgeries and injuries each of us experiences over a lifetime create our unique personalities. Dr. Maguchi recognizes this and devotes more attention listening to patients so she can fully understand and help them overcome their health problems. She also inspires her patients to become more actively involved in their own health.

Though anyone aged 65 or older fits the term “geriatric,” not everyone suffers from complex, chronic conditions. And many adults can improve their quality of life with focused personal care and preventive medicine.

For compassionate geriatric care from a board-certified specialist, call Advanced Geriatrics & Primary Care at 850.912.8020, or simply use our convenient Request an Appointment form.

Megumi Maguchi, MD

Megumi Maguchi, MD - Pensacola, FLA“I chose geriatrics and primary care because it is very fulfilling to have the privilege to care for our community’s most vulnerable populations – our older and younger adults. Our life span has increased significantly in the last 50 years. Today we see more people over the age of 80 than ever before and we realize that it is critical for younger adults to become more health-conscious. “As a primary care physician, I work closely with patients to help them focus on preventive medicine – nutrition, guided exercise, full wellness exams, health education and maintaining a healthy lifestyle – to prepare for graceful aging and a better quality of life. I also focus on preventing further deterioration of chronic illnesses such as diabetes, high blood pressure, obesity, metabolic syndromes and other common conditions. I wake up every morning eager to see my patients and help them make positive differences in their lives.
“I believe in engaging my patients in their health care, ensuring that they understand treatment, and empowering them with positive choices they can make to improve their health and quality of life. I hope to give my patients peace of mind to know that they have a doctor who really cares for them.”
